Q: How far in advance do I need to place an order?
A:  It is recommended that orders for cakes and cookies be made at least 1-2 months prior to the date needed if at all possible.  There is a limited amount of orders I can take in any given week, therefore it is recommended you order as soon as you know you would like something made to assure that week is not booked.  Of course you can still always check in for availability within the 1-2 week period.

Q.  How do I order a cake or cookies?
A.  The best way to order is to either: message me via Facebook (Facebook.com/Jsweetstreats) or email me at CakeandCookieArt@yahoo.com. You can also fill out the contact form in this site. Please be sure to include the date you are requesting, how many people you need to serve, and a general theme.  If there is a specific cake that you want made, please attach a photo.  I will get back to you as soon as I can.  Once we have confirmed that your event date is available, I will consult with you regarding the design and price of your cake/cookies. Once this gets approved, a 50% deposit is required to hold your order. Please note that dates are NOT confirmed until the retainer is received.

Q: What flavors of cakes are available?

I offer vanilla, confetti, wedding cake, chocolate cake (chocolate can have mint/peanut butter), red velvet, coconut, lemon, strawberry, cookies and cream and pink champagne.

Q:  What kind of Cake icings do you offer?
A:  I make both butter cream frosting, and Marshmallow Fondant. Buttercream comes in the following flavors:        Vanilla (regular)

Chocolate  (chocolate mint, chocolate peanut butter)

     Lemon

     Coconut

     Strawberry

     Raspberry

     Mint

    Cookies and Cream

    Cream Cheese (shelf stable only)

Q.  Doesn't fondant taste unpleasant?
A.  Fondant looks beautiful, but generally speaking many people do not care for the taste.  For this reason, I make a yummy marshmallow fondant that I use to cover my cakes and for anything that will be eaten.

Q.  What type of icing do you use on cookies?
A.  I use Royal Icing.  It is a sweet icing that hardens so intricate designs can be made, and cookies can be stacked or packaged.

Q. How much cake do I need?

Q.  Do you offer delivery?
A:  Yes, I do offer delivery for a minimum $15 charge. Actual charges are determined by distance/time. Generally speaking though, most cakes and cookies are for pick-up.

Q. What if I don't know what type of design I want on my cake?

A.  These are my favorite kind of cakes to make!   I love being creative and be able to brainstorm ideas for cakes.  I will just need the theme and a general guideline of what you are thinking and your budget.  Then I will do the rest.  I often provide sketches or photos with the ideas.

Q.  I am not sure how it will all go together- can you help?
A:  Actually I usually ask permission to tweak the cake as I go.  I often find that while I am in the process of actually making and designing it, I realize something will look even better if it is done another way or with a different color than already planned.   It is important to me that all my cakes have nice aesthetic flow from bottom to top.

Q:  What if I have a logo or a unique theme I want?

Several of my designs begin with stencils I create.  I can also make custom molds when needed.  If you have a picture- I can usually do it.  In addition, I have an edible printer so I can print many things to put on a cookie or cake.

Q:  How much do your cakes, cupcakes and cookies cost?
A:  Cookies start at $48/dozen and go up depending on the amount of detail and size. Cupcakes start at $2.75 each, and cakes start at $50. Tiered cakes start at $130, sculpted cakes start at $150.  Since everything is customized to your specifications, prices vary.  Please contact me for a price quote.
